Our Story

The Vineyard Church in Birmingham started as a small home group meeting in Halesowen in 1989. This group grew steadily and developed more small groups in various communities across the city. Since these small beginnings we have developed into a large vibrant community made up of people from different backgrounds, ages and cultures. We are united by a common purpose to worship God, follow Jesus and live out our Christian faith by being a positive influence in our city.

In May 2006, we held joint celebrations with the South Birmingham and African congregations at St. Martins in the Bullring through till August.  Since September 2006 we have been meeting regularly in Sutton Coldfield at The Carpenters Arms in Boldmere.

Over the last few years we have been part of a developing network of small groups and congregations across the city which had meant changing our name from Sutton Coldfield Vineyard to vineyard network church sutton coldfield.
